Bought this as I previously had a portable tiny one that broke and thought might as well get a bigger one as I don't like the feel of the damp when the weather is raining or bad outside. I love the fact this dehumidifier is on wheels and it shows the temperature and humidity of its surroundings. The temperature gauge is accurate as proven by a thermometer that I have. The humidity not sure how to prove but it's definitely a lot lower than what it was after running it for a while. The amount of water I had to empty was insane, literally a bucket full (2–2.5L) everyday in the beginning. Now it's about a bucket every 2–3 days. The air in my flat is now cleaner, my clothes dry faster on the hanging rack and I don't have a pool of condensation at the bottom of my windows. I definitely recommend anyone and everyone get yourself a dehumidifier especially if you're living in damp conditions.
I originally purchased this for upstairs in our house to bring down the humidity, but actually it turned out it wasn't that bad after all. However, I repurposed the dehumidifier to aid in drying our laundry indoors. Game Changer! What took several days on an airer next to the radiator, now takes a few hours at most. I first tried this on a thick, chunky, zip up fleece jacket that would take an age to dry, and lo and behold the dehumidifier sapped most of the moisture out of it (90%) in under 6 hours. Brilliant. It also works well on a full rack of laundry too. The machine itself is well made, but can be loud if on a high fan setting, and is easy to use. Features include a timer to switch on/off the machine, Laundry Mode, humidity settings, sleep mode. UPDATE: 13 months on, my dehumidifier is still going strong and doing the Lords work when it comes to laundry drying in winter time. No issues, but be sure to clean the fluff filter from the air intake periodically!
I've been using this Dehumidifier for over a year now with it running all the way through the year with it taking a break in the summer. Throughout the day while I'm in work I keep this on to help keep on top of the humidity levels in the flat. I get loads of damp issues on the windows and since treating the mould and then leaving this on to reduce the humidity level in the flat I no longer have these issues. When drying clothes I leave this next to them overnight and by the time I get up in the morning they have all but dried out and ready to be put away. If you want to leave it on full blast all day and night, the tank is big enough to hold the water it pulls from the air and you will only need to empty it roughly every 12 hours.
This is best buy ever. Use it in the garage because of all the snow and rain, so easy to use, doesn't cost much to use. It's on castors so don't have to lift it but it's not too heavy. Dehumidifier is brilliant.
Gamechanger! Was super skeptical when I bought this but it dries a full load of washing in just 6–8 hours. Way better than a heated airer and way cheaper than a tumble dryer. Also super satisfying emptying the water tank.
